South West RDA Legacy

As part of our desire to ensure the region's economy is best positioned for future growth, we have undertaken a significant piece of work to capture the RDA’s legacy.

We have produced four documents as part of this legacy activity drawing on colleagues’ professional experience, our corporate research library, evaluation reports and a range of other published material. We hope this will provide successor bodies and other organisations with access to the wide range and depth of tacit and other knowledge that has been developed as a result of 13 years economic development work for the region.

An outline of the four documents follows, click on the covers to download:

1. South West RDA’s History
Includes key facts and figures about the RDA's role in economic development and how this evolved over time.

2. The Economics Story
A strategic planning tool to assist with economic development and to help put the regional economy in a global/national context. The Economics & Evidence team have led on this, seeking input from colleagues with specialist knowledge.

3. What We’ve Learnt
