Bristol's new National Composites Centre

Bristol has been named as the location of a new National Composites Centre (NCC) which will be a cornerstone of the UK Composites Strategy. The new Centre will be led by industry partners in collaboration with the University of Bristol.

The centre is being launched on Wednesday 17th March, and there is an open invitation to all BEN members with an interest in composites to attend.

This event event will be held at the Marriott Hotel, 2 Lower Castle Street, Bristol, BS1 3AD. It is a five minute taxi-ride from Bristol Temple Meads station and there is plenty of parking at an adjacent multi-storey car-park.

The vision for the new Centre is for an independent, open-access national centre that delivers world-class innovation in the design and rapid manufacture of composites, and enables their widespread industrial exploitation.

The Centre will form an international hub, linking activities across all sectors of the UK in research, education and training, technology transfer and incubation of new enterprises.

Places are limited, so please book your place as soon as possible.
