Events to explain support and funding available for innovators in 2010

South West companies will be able to learn how to access over £1 billion of public funding for innovation at a series of forthcoming Innovation Forum events being held across the region in 2010.

Delegates will be able to educate themselves on what business support is available and suitable for their business all in one day by attending our workshop sessions and exhibition. Organisations in attendance will be:

  • Grant for R&D
  • TSB Collaborative Research
  • FP7
  • Eurostars
  • Enterprise Europe Network
  • Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
  • R&D Tax Credits
  • TSB Small Business Research Initiative
  • South West Design Programme
  • UK Intellectual Property Office
  • South West Angel Investors Network
  • Business Link
  • and South West Universities

As well as hearing inspirational case studies and presentations about the key support available to companies, delegates will also benefit from one-to-one meetings. The event could be the first step in helping get new ideas and innovations off the drawing board and into production.

Robin Gallimore, Chair of the South West Science and Industry Council, said:

“Innovation Forums are one of the ways we are trying to help companies to innovate their way to success. The programmes on offer allow businesses to research and develop new technologies and processes which will increase productivity and profit.

In these challenging times, innovation continues to be essential for the region’s economy and will be a key element of our path to recovery.”
