Events to explain support and funding available for innovators
in 2010
South West companies will be able to learn how to access over £1
billion of public funding for innovation at a series of forthcoming
Innovation Forum events being held across the region in 2010.
Delegates will be able to educate themselves on what business
support is available and suitable for their business all in one day
by attending our workshop sessions and exhibition. Organisations in

As well as hearing inspirational case studies and presentations
about the key support available to companies, delegates will also
benefit from one-to-one meetings. The event could be the first step
in helping get new ideas and innovations off the drawing board and
into production.
Robin Gallimore, Chair of the South West Science and Industry
Council, said:
“Innovation Forums are one of the ways we are trying to help
companies to innovate their way to success. The programmes on offer
allow businesses to research and develop new technologies and
processes which will increase productivity and profit.
In these challenging times, innovation continues to be essential
for the region’s economy and will be a key element of our path to
recovery.”
Forum dates
Innovation Forums will be held at the following locations
between 9:30am and 4pm:
Bournemouth Innovation Forum, 24 June.
This event is in collaboration with the Bournemouth University
Festival of ideas & Innovation, when the Innovation Forum event
closes at 4pm delegates will get an exclusive VIP preview of around
170 designs and prototypes from BU final year students.
